Today I went out to Oberlunkhofen where the local town has built a bird hide. It was really popular and packed with bird enthusiasts. It had however tons of great space, and even with 10+ people in the hide, it did not feel crowded, and the hide was very neatly prepared with information on the local birds and benches to sit.
I was lucky to capture a kingfisher sitting near to the hide. One of the older birding guys got so excited he grabbed my arm to get my attention and draged me over to the hole where the kingfisher was visible - I was really grateful to get to see this little fella.
The hide is looking out over a small area where there are tons of fish, so there are a wide plethora of birds collecting there to get themselves some easy caught lunch.
